If you have even a passing interest in sports, you should be well aware Jerry's Playhouse, the new BILLION dollar Cowboys Stadium, has set the precedent for sporting venues. On game days, there are as many 10,000 workers present, including personal chefs in the VIP suites and cage dancers in the stands. Yes it's kind of a big deal Texans will cough up money to the tune of THREE local tax hikes. Of course the centerpiece, literally and figuratively is the record holding $40 million LCD screen system at midfield. It features two sideline-facing 72-foot by 160-foot screens and two endzone-facing 29-foot by 51-foot LCD screens. The whole shebang weighs SIX HUNDRED tons and is suspended 90 feet above the field, sucking down over 1.2 megawatts of power. Wow.
So when you're the head A/V guy, given carte blanche of a massive entertainment system, what do you do? Um, duh. | |
