What if I told you that the world's best multi-player shooter, the world's best first-person puzzle game, the most ground-breaking first person shooter and the world's integrated gaming store and interface were... ALL. ONE. PRODUCT. *thunderous cheering* Valve software is proud to introduce: iBox.
Okay, not quite. But those in the cult of mock turtlenecks and small glasses will have new use for their white plastic boxes. Valve has announced that its Steam interface and entire catalog, including the upcoming Portal 2, will be made available to Mac users. In addition, games will be cross-compatible with PC users online. Certainly, the d-bag sucking down the venti crappuccino will have something to boast about before he hops into his Jetta, but the joke will be on him. With no second mouse button, Mac users will be unable to: shoot portal exits, zoom in with sniper rifles, airblast, cloak, point buildings, ubercharge, detonate, or melee. Heh. Suckers. | |
